It may not come as a surprise to you that a lot of people come to Dubai as tourists and stay on as workers. Depending on their luck, immigrant workers usually do not have to wait long until they have secured a job. This is true even in industries where standards are stringent, like in healthcare. You can secure a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license before you even have an employer.
We have already covered the whole process of how to become a nurse in Dubai in an earlier article. We have also covered Primary Source Verification for your documents, which is a requirement for licensing. There are still a lot of questions regarding the Prometric exams and its prerequisites, and that’s what we’ll cover here.
Are you exempted from taking the assessment?
It would be funny, albeit a sad kind of funny, if you were to take the Prometric for DHA only to find out that you were exempted from taking it. DHA has different benchmarks depending on your qualification. What’s common is that if you’re licensed to practice in countries like the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Ireland, you are exempted. For more information on exemptions, please visit the DHA website.
In order to take the Prometric exam for DHA, you need to register as a new user in their website first. Once you’ve done this, you will be asked to go through documents verification. If you have already gotten your PSV Report from TrueProfile.io, you only need to upload your documents together with the PSV Report. You will also be given an eligibility number by the website. This is what you will need to take note of as it is required by prometric.
Schedule your exam
Scheduling your exam is actually very easy. Just go on the Prometric website or google prometric for DHA. The website is very easy to navigate and you just need to click on the button you need and supply the information asked. Once you have successfully chosen your schedule, do not forget to print out your confirmation.
If you encounter any issues, like not getting any available schedules, you can email your request via Pnlfirstname.lastname@example.org If your issue is with the DHA website, you can email them at email@example.com To contact Prometric directly, visit their contact page to get a more targeted information about your query. The same goes for the DHA webpage.
Arrive at the Test Center an hour before your scheduled exam. You need to bring with you your passport and your printed confirmation. Your biometric information will be taken and the time allotted for the assessment is 2 hours. Once you have passed the exam, you will get an eligibility letter from the DHA. Good luck!
