How to find a job in Saudi from the Philippines

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has long been a goldmine of jobs abroad for the people of the Philippines. Today, it still continues to provide numerous opportunities to work overseas. Some people might be confused, though, on how to start looking for jobs in this desert kingdom. No need to worry as we’ll give you some tips on how to find a job in Saudi.

Via the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency

This is the easiest way to do it, and you’ll be assured that all the job offers you’ll find here are legitimate. The Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) is the government regulator tasked with giving permits to workplace agencies. They have a helpful portal where you can search for Job Orders by country.

You can then press Ctrl + F and type “nurse,” for example, and currently, there are 2,100 Job Order listings with the word “nurse.” Multiply that with the number of jobs wanted per Job Order. You would then be spoiled for choice which agency to apply to. Once you have a list of the agencies nearest you, you can go back to the POEA portal and look for the agencies’ address and contact information. The phone numbers, email addresses, the contact persons, and even the agency status is listed. Apply as you would ordinarily.

Via LinkedIn

If you have a LinkedIn account, you may have noticed this little tab that says “Jobs.” You can type in “Registered Nurse,” for example, and type “Saudi Arabia” in the Search Locations field. You can also choose to “Create alert for this search.” Toggle the “Off” radio button to on to get email notifications. Promoted jobs appear on the top of the search results. You can apply for these jobs directly from LinkedIn or you will be directed to a different portal. Either way, it’s very easy to let your fingers do the walking, instead of trudging from one place to another clutching your resumé. To have an edge over the competition, link your verified credentials to your LinkedIn profile.

Verify your credentials

Healthcare professionals need to have their credentials verified when they apply for a job in the KSA. The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties requires a PSV report before you can get a license to practice your profession. You can get yours ahead of time with TrueProfile.io to give you a boost in employability. Once you receive your TrueProofs, you can request to transfer it to any authority of your choice. This of course includes the SCFHS.

Complete your myTrueProfile page

Don’t forget to complete your myTrueProfile page in full, which can then be shared with regulators and employers. Your new myTrueProfile page gives you a digital resume which you can use to reinforce your place as a verified professional. Plus, if you’re a job seeker, you can enable employers to contact you in order to access career opportunities.

Good luck, and keep us posted with your progress!
